Early Sunday morning (March 11) Tania and Alex went to the hospital expecting the arrival of their third child, baby Monica. James and Karina were anxiously awaiting to join their parents at the hospital later that day to meet their new baby sister. As Tania went into labor, complications arose and doctors rushed her for an emergency C-section.
When they got the baby out, Monica was unresponsive. It took doctors at least 10 minutes to retrieve her heartbeat, but the damage was already done. Without oxygen being supplied to her body, there was excessive damage dealt to her brain and organs. The family was notified that they have to say their goodbyes to their newborn baby girl.
Alex brought James and Karina to the hospital, to meet their little sister and say goodbye to her. It is heartbreaking... Monica passed away early morning (March 12) in the loving arms of her mourning mother.
Their SMS to close relatives and family that day:
"Thank you all for your support and prayers.
Baby Monica is with Jesus in heaven.
We will meet her there some day."
The Kulikovich family is devoted to God, and He has given them peace and strength that only He can provide.
