Prayers and Support for Ava

Ava is our 3 year old little angel that has been diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis and Epilepsy. Tuberous sclerosis is a rare disease that causes tumors, or growths, in the brain and other organs. Ava diagnosis is multiple tumors in her brain.  She is currently having multiple seizers per day, some times as many as 15 in a single day. 

In the coming weeks leading up to Christmas our sweet Ava will go into UVA Children's Hospital for a 5 day observation period where they will place cameras in her brain. Depending upon the outcome of the observations they will determine the necessary brain surgeries. These surgeries are likely to require travel to an out of town facility.

The Shiflett's are a wonderful family that loves and cherishes the time they get to spend together with their children. As a very close family friend we are asking for support that will help them focus on spending time with Ava and not hospital bills, costs of treatment, travel back and forth or any of the other financial complications related to the next steps in Ava's journey. 

We hope to help support them now so that that can look forward to the days when this treatment is behind them and Ava is on the road to recovery.
