Prayers and Donations for Gail Ward

We are so sad to have to report that our beloved friend, Gail Ward, passed away early in the morning on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, after giving birth and tragically losing her sweet newborn, Malayah Ashlin. 

After a complicated pregnancy and a necessary early induction, Gail was taken in for an emergency c-section and ended up getting an emergency hysterectomy. Gail started hemorrhaging and lost a lot of blood. She was moved to ICU and, in true Gail fashion, fought hard. She was stable at one point but getting through the night was critical. Early this morning, Gail's oxygen levels quickly plummeted and we lost her.

Together, her sister Esther Putman and I, Amelia Pape, are kindly asking for the help of friends and clients of Gail to help support Julianna and Lincoln.  As a longtime client and friend of Gail's, I came to know and love Gail and her sister and their families like they were my own.  How Gail made everyone feel comfortable and loved here in her salon in Fort Wayne, IN speaks volumes to her character - somehow you knew if you spent any amount of time with her you would become fast friends.

There will be so many medical and funeral expenses and we are asking Gail's Glo on the Go family to come together for our beautiful friend and the children she leaves behind. In addition, with such a sudden and unexpected passing, funds will be used to help with moving and getting them reestablished in their new full time home. If possible, take care of any last minute bills that are required to pay in regards to finalizing her estate and have a small savings to care for any future emergency needs that may arise for Julianna and Lincoln. Gail was always so generous and bent over backwards for the people she loved and her clients. We are absolutely devastated for her family and welcome prayers and any words of support. Thank you all in advance for your kind generosity. Gail will be sorely missed.

Memorial Service is Friday March 29th at 6:00 pm at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne IN 46815. Visiting hours are from 3:00-6:00 prior to the service.
