Cary's Cancer Fund

A little more than a month ago, my husband, started having intestinal problems.  We thought that it was probably the results of some of the meds he takes for diabetes.  This went on for over a week and finally, he said he was going to the doctor to ask if he could get something for it.  They ran some tests and the only thing they came up with was high enzymes in the liver.  They told him to stop taking his statins which could cause that and lower his doses of diabetes meds.  Only, that did not help the problems got worse and he went back to the Dr. at this time the Dr. noticed that he was jaundice and sent us for tests at the hospital.  Due to the test results, they put him in the hospital.  Before the day was over we found out that he had Pancreatic cancer.  The tumor was blocking the bile duct which caused the initial symptoms,  This was on the 25th of August 2017.  We woke up that morning thinking that we were going to go get some medicine and went to sleep with the fact that he had cancer.  We also learned that the odds were not in his favor.
He was in the hospital for over a week.  They tried to insert stints in his bile duct but were unsuccessful.  So then they operated and installed a biliary drain where he had to wear a bag on his leg with tubes coming from his stomach.   Aftetheyr he was stable, they let him come home but we had to go to the hospital many other times for test.  MRI's Ultrasounds... and a P. E, T. scan to see if there was any other cancer anywhere else in his body.  There  wasn't.
Now they have set up a Chemo schedule.  He had his 1st treatment Tuesday and has another one next Tuesday.  He sleeps most of the time and has trouble eating.
Yesterday he developed a fever we had to take him into the Cancer Center.  His white blood cell count was thru the roof gave him fluids, potassium, and antibiotics intravenously and more antibiotics to take at home.  They said that if he had not come in he might not
have made it.
He is retired and the only money we are going to be able to get is our social security, which when they take out insurance, thank God for that there is not much left over for food, utilities, and especially our mortgage payment.
We will not be able to pay our house payment in October if we don't find help.  He built this house with his own hands and help from his family.  It is in the country and is quiet and wonderful.  I really don't know what we would do if we lost it.  He had a part-time job and did some designing but now he can not do either.  If we had help and did not have to worry about moving on top of everything else, what a blessing that would be.
Cary has been so wonderful.  He is the nicest person I know and so nice to people.  He helped people get to their  Dr. appointments when he worked from home.  He had a fund that he and his friends started to give a scholarship to one of the graduates at the local high school.  He helped people that could not afford it, build ramps on their house for a wheelchair, and also fix some of the things wrong with their houses, small repairs.  When he was a mailman years ago he helped a woman on his route that lived alone buy groceries.  He is a kind and loving person that does not ask for anything.  That is why I am hoping that he will now get some help.
He is a Christian and so am I.  Even though the doctors say he is probably terminal, we are praying for a miracle.  Our situation is urgent.  I don't know what would happen if we lost our house.  He is worried about me and I told him not to that God will help us.  I am praying that God will bless us thru His people...God bless you ..
