Help My Son Fight Cancer

Donation protected
My oldest son (45) Jeremy, we call him “Buddy,” was in Florida for Christmas 2018. He got seriously sick and went to the emergency room. A scan revealed a mass in one of his lungs, a tumor in his spleen, and tumors in his lymph nodes. Flew him back to Nashville Christmas night, and I spent Monday 12/31/18 getting him into the Heritage Healthcare System, I believe one of the best in Nashville, and Buddy was admitted ST Thomas hospital the same day.

Buddy underwent a massive series of test and was diagnosed with stage 4b Hodgkin's lymphoma. To make matters worse, when Sear’s Department Store filed bankruptcy, the company that Buddy worked for, Electrolux, which manufactured all of Sears appliances, made cuts of entire shifts. Buddy was one of the cuts, and 12/31/2018 was his last day. It has been a nightmare attempting to get disability income in place, which still is not accomplished at the time of this email. Buddy has lost 35lbs since he was diagnosed, and received his first chemo treatment Wednesday, March 27th and his second treatment Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

Buddy’s fiancée Gayle Christian would like to stay home from her job and take care of Buddy. To make this possible will require approximately $5,000.00 per month. The requirement does not include any disability income, which will be deducted from the total need when it begins. There will be drug costs we do not know the total amount of at this time. I want to raise $60,000.00 to cover basic needs and contingent costs that we anticipate but don’t know about at this time. These funds do not include the cost of natural resources widely used today to support conventional methods of treating cancer. These added methods significantly increase survivability. We will keep the “Go Fund Me” site informed of future needs.

I am not asking for anything other than your thoughts and prayers, which the entire family and Buddy would deeply appreciate during this time of testing for our family. If anyone feels inclined and can help with the financial needs, I have set up a “Go Fund Me” page for Jeremy Kristian Taylor (Buddy). With the assistance of our corporate counsel, Kevin Norwood, Cumberland Law Group, the Go Fund Me account is set to process all proceeds received through his law firm’s escrow account maintained with Bank of America. Kevin must approve all disbursements from the escrow account. There will be no charge for his services or the escrow account.  With all the fraud and deception surrounding these sorts of endeavors today, we thought having a law firm escrow account and a third-party approving disbursement would provide assurances that funds will be used only for the intended purposes.

Contributions will be confidential. When the financial resources are no longer needed for Buddy, any funds left in the account will be used first to help bridge Gayle back to a new job, and any remaining balance will be given to cancer foundations to fight this horrible disease.

Our family deeply appreciates every one of you and thank you for any consideration.
