Help us buy an underwater submarine for our after school ocean science program!
Piers Park Sailing Center (PPSC) is starting a new out-of-school time program at the Adams Elementary in East Boston, Massachusetts. As part of the program, fourth and fifth grade students will participate in floating classroom, PPSC's outdoor education lab located on our dock.
This winter we hope to complete a bathymetric chart of East Boston's coves in Boston Harbor - it's like a topographical study where we will explore the depths of the Harbor, discover shipwrecks, and identify marine life.
To do this we need to purchase a PowerRay Underwater ROV. It costs $1,880 - your contribution will help us make it happen!
PPSC is a 501 (c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to inclusive empowerment through community sailing, and we cannot do it without you! All donations are tax-deductible. Please contribute and make our after-school science program the coolest around!
