We are donating our facility to Produce PPE Masks & Shields for Oregon Medical Workers! And we need your help!
Central Auto Body is taking their facility on Powell Blvd in heart of SE Portland and transforming it into a sanitized workspace to produce face shields for the hospitals and temporary hospitals through your Oregon, Washington and other areas in high need.
We will be donating the location, use of tools and 4 skilled auto technicians. Owner Bret will self fund (supplies, labor) the first few weeks but cannot do this alone. There is still equipment we need - 3D printers, specialty tools and the more shields we make the more materials we will need. Good news is the materials are not in short supply.
Cost will be up to 10,000 per week depending on how quickly we are able to produce them. We hope to continue production thru mid June when at least.
We are covering everything we can but WE NEED YOUR HELP!
All proceeds will go directly to the production and distribution of medical grade PPE masks and face shields for the Oregon Medical Community. We will be posting stories, photos and videos of our production and our deliveries to keep you updated on the success of this project.
About Bret:
Bret Bothwell was born and raised in Portland OR. he is the founder of Central Auto Body and Central Automotive. He is a family man and believes community is extremely important. The idea started because Bret’s sister in law is a nurse and is treating patients without the proper PPE. Bret first jumped into help by convincing his moms quilting circle to make masks. He purchased all material they needed and got them sewing quickly. Bret soon realized he could do more. He decided he could not stand by and do nothing while our hero’s are risking their lives so he donated his facility and began this effort. Please help us Shield Oregon's Heroes!
