Rally to help Chief Patrick Buck

Chief Patrick.  He's a legendary man. Quick with a smile, a warm greeting, a fun joke followed by a great, big laugh.  Quick to jump in and help others, fix things, coach, volunteer, make sure everyone was working hard AND having fun.  Famous for his gooooooood mornings on Facebook and his amazing fry bread.  A man passionate about loving Jesus, his wife, his 5 incredible kids, and countless foster babies along the way.  The proudest Dad you've ever seen.  And humble.  So very humble.  He's the man who shows up hours early to Little League championship games to repaint the bases bright white, meticulously groom and chalk the fields and take none of the credit.  He makes everyone feel welcome, important, valued, loved, and included.  

Last Saturday night, he was having difficulty breathing so his wife called 911.  He was found to be suffering from congestive heart failure and acute renal (kidney) failure.  This sudden news was shocking, he was feeling good, working hard, being his smiling self just hours before.   As the days progressed, and the doctors worked to clear fluid from his body, he also developed pneumonia.  He was transferred to a different hospital that specialized in kidney treatment and was still his friendly, upbeat, smiling, "the chief wuvs you all" self.  On Friday, his organs started to shut down so the doctors placed him in a medically induced coma on life support.  He started dialysis today and 2.5 liters of fluid was cleared. Doctors are hopeful that dialysis/clearing the fluid will bring his organs back on line.  It will be a long road, but Patrick is a fighter and he has the best, most positive attitude!  He was struggling to wake up and talk to Kim when she was with him today.   He wants to get back to his life and his family.

Friends, the chief needs you.  

First of all, please pray.  We serve an amazing God.  Please pray for miraculous and complete healing.  

Next, Kim and those 5 beautiful, amazing kids need your support.  These medical bills will be scary big, and everyday living expenses like rent, insurance, groceries, utilities will still need to be paid.  Any and all help you can offer this beautiful family would make a difference in their lives and it would mean the world to Chief Patrick.
