Yesterday, my heart sank as our dear brother Troy told me what happened to him.
Here's what happened.

Hey. I’ve had a huge issue come up for me. I got a letter from Social Security on Thursday saying that my disability benefits were ending on February 2nd! AND that I owe them $21K for benefits they shouldn’t have paid. So my SSDI payment I was supposed to get on Friday didn’t come. So now I have no way to pay my rent that was due on the 1st.
On Friday, I went to Social Security and waited for a very long time. They helped me fill out the paperwork to request my payments start again. They said that could take up to 30 days. So in the meantime, I’ve got no idea how I’m gonna pay my rent.
To add to this description, Troy has gone through multiple surgeries and had multiple complications with his health over the years. And this is why he was on disability benefits.
By this coming Wednesday, 2/7, he needs to find $1803, or his apartment will start the process of eviction. When I heard this, my heart sank, and I am sure yours has too. In prayer, I was thinking of ways to help Troy. And, frankly, there's no better and more practical support we can give than our monetary gifts. This is not a fundraising through Saddleback Church. So please do not feel obligated to give. However, I wanted to extend the opportunity to help our dear brother. No contribution is too small and any would be appreciated greatly.
