Powerful Prayers for Julio Mezza

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:6-7)

It's been almost a month since Julio Mezza began this unexpected medical journey. On August 16, 2018 Julio came home from work, not feeling well with a bad headache. Since the headache continued to linger, he went to the Urgent Care on Saturday August 18th and was diagnosed with a sinus infection and given antibiotics. The following day, at the urging of his wife, Aileen, he went to the Emergency Room at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton. After a CT-Scan, Julio and Aileen were brought into a small room and awaited hearing from the doctor.

From time the doctor said, "Julio has a mass on the right side of his Brain," to having Brain Surgery where 95% of the mass was removed, to recieving the diagnosis of Gliosarcoma (a rare type of Brain cancer), to a 2nd Brain Surgery to remove the additional 5% of the tumor, and even until now, the faith that Julio and Aileen have had is such a beautiful testimony to having a relationship with our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

Julio is 44 years young, and is an awesome dad to Angelo (18), Ian (16), Zoe (6), & Dani (3). He and Aileen have many family members and countless friends that have seen the amazing witness for Christ that they have been as they walk through this trial.

We have seen God do REMARKABLE things through this time! The latest tests show that all of the cancer cells were able to be removed from Julio's brain!!!  He will still have 6-7 weeks of going through radiation and oral chemotherapy, along with holistic treatments to help ensure the cancer does not come back and Julio to be in remission. 

We know that God provides for all of our needs and this is a time that we can rise up not only in fervent prayer but also in financial help for the Mezza family. Julio has been out of work for almost a month and the family has not received any disability as of yet. Aileen also works but she has had to take off substantial time so she could be by Julio's side and take care of their children.  Julio is also receiving holistic treatment, that insurance does not pay for. The financial burden of this medical journey is adding up for the Mezza family.

If you are able to help financially it would be a huge blessing to them. But even more important than that, are your continued prayers for Julio's healing and remission. Let's be a blessing to this family as they have been such a blessing to so many of us!
