Dad's Powered Wheelchair

My amazing father has survived several strokes. He recovered really well after the 1st one but after the other ones has been living life on wheels. Getting around the house remarkably well and has a great attitude about it and become more independent thanks to the wheelchair he was given from rehabilitation center. Although now he has developed Scoliosis which is a curvature of the spine. Both the wheelchair specialist and his physical therapist agree that his current chair is no longer suitable for my father. He needs some real support for his back since he has no control of the left side of his body.  The chair he needs is made by Quantum, model Q-26 Edge. Now This is the specific chair that his team of physicians referred. Chair originally costs  much more than we could ever afford but since Dad is on traditional medicare which luckily provides him some funding that helps tremendously. Yet still leaving us to pay $3,500 . Even after all the strokes and surgeries on his brain my father is still very sharp and wants his independence, the scoliosis is the main biggest concern and its being caused by the standard wheelchair he is currently in.
