Power in numbers! My Dear friend Jo needs a bed!

My dear friend is battling Small Cell Lung cancer and is undergoing treatment which is chemo.  The cancer has spread to her back which has been very painful for her.  Jo is a very proud person and asks for nothing.  She is silently suffering as she is bedridden in an old bed that she is uncomfortable in.  They just can’t afford a new mattress at this time.  When I talk to her on the phone, she is crying in pain.  She’s always saying, oh this bed is so uncomfortable.  Jo doesn’t know I’m doing this.  I’ve told her I would make some phone calls to see if anyone can donate one for her.  I’ve hit roadblocks everywhere I’ve called.  There are no used mattresses as the recent bedbug outbreak in her area.  No one should have to fight for their lives in an uncomfortable bed.  I’ve suggested a hospital bed, but they too are so uncomfortable.  Let’s join together and raise some funds to get her in a comfortable bed and make her Christmas, a comfortable one, as she will be spending it in her bed.  Thank you in advance for your help.  Wendy
