Power 4 Puerto Rico

Mr. K's 4th grade class is raising money for Puerto Rico! We decided to abandon our current social studies unit and do some REAL social studies. 
We discussed the situation in P.R. and determined that power was currently the greatest concern. We researched what it would take to get a generator to Puerto Rico-- Everything from 'what is a generator?' to 'how much do generators cost to ship?' 
What we decided was, we can't EXACTLY send a generator. BUT, we can raise the money necessary to buy a generator and give that money to a worthy charity. 
This is our plan! We will update our GoFundMe with details on our chosen charity just as soon as we decide as a community who the money is going to go to. 
We also discussed the immediate need for these critical supplies, so we are going to raise this money in ONE WEEK!
