Poultry Project to Rescue Rural Zimbabwe Hospital

St. Albert's Mission Hospital, located in northern Zimbabwe, currently serves 130,000 people, the majority of whom are subsistence farmers. Dire economic conditions are preventing them from providing even basic care.
Hospital director Dr. Julia Musariri has plans to rear chickens and sell their eggs to earn badly needed income. Your donation will go directly towards purchasing laying hens.
Funds raised by the hospital from egg sales will go towards purchasing medicine, feeding patients, maintaining vehicles and equipment, and paying utility bills.
Whether $5 or $500, your donation will help St. Alberts provide care to the ill and injured who arrive at the hospital in desperate need. If this fundraiser exceeds the target amount, BHA will apply the additional money toward replacing the hospital's anesthesia machine, which is now unreliable and cannot be used.

We focus on reducing suffering from cancer, particularly cervical cancer, at St. Albert's and Karanda mission hospitals; providing cancer education; improving St. Albert's water system; improving women's health; and helping St. Albert's meet critical needs.
