Help Me Empower Mothers, Families, and Communities to Thrive!
The postpartum period is one of the most sacred and transformative times in life—a pivotal window that shapes a mother’s well-being, a baby’s development, and the foundation of family health for generations. Yet, we are facing an alarming reality: the widespread prevalence of “perinatal mood disorders” is not the root problem but a symptom of a much deeper issue—our disconnection from the ancestral practices and ways of living that honor and nurture mothers, families, and communities. The epidemic levels of maternal dis-ease we see today are not normal, nor are they inevitable. It’s time to reclaim the wisdom of physiologic postpartum care and create a culture where mothers are truly supported, nourished, and empowered during this sacred time.
How we care for mothers during this critical time ripples outward, impacting not just their lives, but their children’s futures, and ultimately, the health and well-being of our collective humanity. It’s time to reconnect, revillage, and reimagine how we support mothers and families.
Friends, the challenges of life have a way of reminding us what truly matters. Recently, I’ve been reflecting on the fragile yet beautiful gift of life and how critical it is to show up for each other, especially during life’s most transformative times. In that spirit, I recently chose to reroute my finances to help someone close who was in need, and now I need your help to continue this mission.
Postpartum is one of those critical times. I remember feeling so vulnerable—recovering from birth while trying to care for and nourish a tiny, helpless baby. It’s a period of immense physical, emotional, and mental challenge. Yet, for so many mothers, support during this time is seen as a luxury, not the necessity it truly is.
That’s why I’m stepping into a new chapter starting January 2025—a nine-month journey to become certified in INNATE Postpartum Care (https://www.innatetraditions.com/innate-postpartum-care-certification-training) a program designed to reclaim the wisdom and science of postpartum healing. This training will equip me to create a framework of care that helps mothers not just survive, but thrive.
This work is about revillaging—bringing back the deep connection and support that was once central to our communities.
As a birth doula, I’ve spent years pouring my heart, soul, time, energy, and resources into helping mothers, families, and communities during one of life’s most sacred and transformative times. This work is my calling, and it’s taught me that we cannot do this alone.
And now, I need my village - YOU - to help me continue this mission.
Here’s how you can help:
Donate: Every contribution, no matter the size, helps create a ripple of healing and change that extends far beyond one family.
Share: Spread the word to others who believe in supporting mothers and families with this link: https://gofund.me/f67f58e7
Encourage: Your kind words and belief in this journey mean everything.
This is what it means when we say "it takes a village". Together, we can create a world where postpartum care is a necessity, not a luxury—a world where every mother feels held, every family is supported, and every child grows up in a thriving community.
Thank you for being part of this mission to honor mothers, strengthen families, and revillage our communities.
Together, we can reshape our way of life—one family, one village, one generation at a time.
