Fast recovery for Kathy

For those of you who know Mrs. Kathy Hudson, you know what an inspiration she is to the youth in Charleston, WV and The Charleston Tennis Club. She dedicates countless hours inspiring children on and off the tennis court. She defines courage, motivates and teaches faith. She protects, directs, and encourages our children to be passionate about their game, and they use these simple lessons both on and off the court.

So, today we're asking you to help us, help her to continue her mission. She herself, is now facing a hardship that not too long ago she thought she conquered. In 2010, Kathy underwent surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation to overcome and defeat a large chest mass called a Spindle Cell Sarcoma. Recovering from the illness, surgery and follow up regimen was challenging, but soon enough she was back doing what she loved daily.  During a recent hospitalization for low blood sugar, Kathy learned the sad news that this defeated mass had returned.  She is using her own daily lessons of determination and faith to keep positive about her upcoming battle.  Soon though,  she will need the courage, love and support of all of us during her upcoming surgery on October 20th.

So, can you help us support her during this difficult time?  Whether it's a phone call, a card, an email or well wish, we're positive she'll appreciate your kind thoughts. The expense that will be placed on her and her family is again, enormous. Her care could not be obtained locally, so the travel costs, medical bills and time off work will all burden her. Without a doubt she is blessed by her supportive son and husband, as well as extended friends and family but we're sure she'd appreciate a little extra help to pull her through these difficult times!
