Post Hurricane Harvey Recovery

Hello everyone - this is my first GoFundMe campaign and need a bit more detail of what is going on.

My name is Matthew Cortinas and I currently reside in the greater Austin area.

I first moved to Port Aransas in 1997 whem my mom married "Smokey" Gaines. About 16 years later - I moved to Austin to pusure a greater career. My mother had stayed. 

I'm raising money for my mother, whom has been affected by hurricane Harvey. 

Like others in Port Aransas, she was not spared. We salvaged what we could but pretty much lost everything. 

I'm hoping to help my mom get back on her feet from this disaster. It has been heartbreaking and overwhelming for everyone from Port A.

Any little bit will help. 

She is going to need everything from food, furniture, to money. Any funds donated will be going directly to her bank account and used to cover costs during the evacuation - ranging from pet boarding, hotel rooms, gas, food, and rent. 

Please consider donating any furniture that you are looking to replace or give away. 

I'll be looking to rent a U-Haul truck to deliver anything that has been donated.
