Support Joe and Kate: Fire Fundraiser

My sister Kate and her husband Joe’s yoga studio, Supernova Power Yoga suffered severe damage resulting from a fire in their building on Thursday, November 29th , 2018, in downtown Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. 

We are thankful that nobody was hurt in this fire, but due to damages they are closed until repairs can take place. Because of the high repair costs approaching $50,000 and loss of income while the business is shutdown, I started this page to help gather support for these two big-hearted, hard-working people during this stressful time.  

I have watched my sister Kate, and her husband Joe, grow this business from the ground up. I remember when she told me she was moving to Canada to start a yoga studio with Joe, and I have witnessed them not only create a place for people in Yarmouth to practice yoga 7 days a week, nearly 365 days a year, but have watched as they worked with everyone from kids to seniors, newcomers to professional athletes, and families of all abilities. I know that Kate and Joe love their students and are devastated by this tragedy.
