Positive Prayers & Support for Andy

I am reaching out to ask for your prayers, help and love to my dad, Andrew Krueger and his wife Sofiana. Life has become a bit of a challenge for them lately. Mama Sofiana was laid off from her job and dad was working part-time, but was not feeling well.

When Dad went to the doctor for a checkup, his bloodwork showed that something was not quite right. After numerous CT scans and Ultrasounds, they discovered a tumor in his bladder, cancer.

The first procedure was a cystoscopy which showed that bladder had a large enough tumor in it. The next procedure was supposed to be an outpatient surgery that would remove the tumor as it was contained in the bladder and thankfully had not spread.

They were not able to remove all of the tumor and Dad ended up staying in the hospital for yet another procedure. After another Ultrasound, they discovered that the tumor was pressing against the wall of the bladder and hiding the tubes that flow the urine from the kidneys to the bladder. It was more prominent on the left side and he would not be able to urinate normally.

Yet another procedure was done with a small incision in his back, in the left kidney and a bag was attached from the outside to help in the elimination of urine from his body. Fortunately, the right kidney was fine. After a few days in the hospital Dad went home.

After a couple weeks of rest Dad meets with his urologist and oncologist to determine when he will start chemotherapy. We are not sure how long he will have this done, but afterwards he will undergo a procedure to remove his bladder and create another one from his small intestines.

This has been a very difficult time for all of us. They are going through quite a bit of financial and medical struggle right now and can really use some extra help.
