SAVE LOCAL BUSINESSES : Portraits of Chicago Businesses in Lockdown
I only have to look next door to see the effects of the Coronavirus. My studio is on Chicago Ave. in West Town and our usually vibrant street is dark and lonely. Friends I saw daily are homebound and our businesses are silent.
I started Save Local Businesses: Portraits of Chicago Businesses in Lockdown because our doors are closed, but you can still help us.
With the help of the local Chambers of Commerce, my goal for this project is to photograph (from a distance) local businesses, share their stories and provide the face behind their closed doors and dark windows.
If you appreciate my project, thank you for considering a donation. Like the businesses I photograph, I also have a storefront studio that is under lockdown. Your donation will help me continue this project and pay for my studio expenses and staff during this time.
Take a look at some of the faces and stories in this project and please share and tag your favorite local businesses!
