On May 20th, the Porter family home was devastated by a fire. Mark and Rose came home to find the front portion of their home engulfed in flames.
Mark and Rose have dedicated their lives to the care of others. Rose is a nurse in many roles. Mark is a role model to so many in the Fire/EMS community. Mark is a Communications Captain at Monroe Ambulance and volunteers as a member and past Chief of the Holley Fire Company. Outside of Fire/EMS, Mark is a dedicated and respected board member of the Holley Central School District, and has been a coach for the Holley Wrestling team for many years.
Mark is a pillar of the Holley community and beyond, always willing to put his fellow man first, and himself second.
Hidden from many, Mark suffers from significant health issues, which many times selflessly takes a back burner so Mark can serve his community in his many capacities.
Victims of fires face tremendous emotional stress and financial costs, and we hope this fund will help alleviate some of the challenges that Mark and Rose are facing as they try to move on, and rebuild their lives.
In this uncertain time, we know many people are facing hardships and we are extremely grateful for any donation.
