Portable Oxygen Concentrator for Lexi!

As everyone knows, our Warrior Princess Alexis is currently in Boston recovering from her most recent surgery to repair her spinal column and ribs. This procedure will hopefully improve her lung function and breathing as well.

Most of you know Lexi Angel is on full time Oxygen. For the past year or so we have been getting push back from her healthcare provider on getting her a Portable Oxygen Concentrator. It is an absolute medical necessity for her to have one of these and it will improve her quality of life greatly. As everyone knows, we have to always carry and tote around large oxygen tanks for her wherever we go and she is always restricted to a small area that is however long her breathing tube and cannula will reach. Me and Lexi's Paw Paw have exhausted every option, numerous hours on the phone and meetings to help get her one of these. We have even had had numerous Doctors and  Nurses involved provided medical records and testing data explaining that it is imperative for her to have one and still they keep coming up with excuse after excuse of why they can't provide the concentrator.

Having this Portable Oxygen Concentrator will finally give Lexi the quality of life she deserves. She will be able to get outdoors, play with her friends and enjoy cookouts. She will now be able to fly (you can only fly with the concentrator. You CAN'T fly with the tanks) travel, and go on vacations. Most importantly, she will now be able to move freely around the house to use the bathroom, go get food or drink on her own, or simply just get up and move around. She will no longer be confined to the couch, bed or chair.

Our goal is to have one of these by the time she gets out of the hospital so that she can fly home. She will not be able to sit up in a car for 12 hours with her back in the shape that it is.

Everyone knows Alexis is my inspiration in life, and so many others as well. I made her a promise many years ago that I would always be there for her no matter what and that i would do anything and everything I could to help her. She has the best support group of family and friends that I have ever seen or met in my life. I truly believe that.
