Portable Dental Unit

This portable dental unit with compressor would allow dentists and hygienists to better serve people in low income and impoverished areas. No longer would extractions be the only solution when confronted with tooth decay, but with this compact unit, dentists would be able to offer services such as fillings, root canals, etc., and hygienists would be able to clean and polish teeth in a cleaner and healthier environment. I am attempting to raise enough money to purchase two units.
I thought I might share a little more about why we are raising funds for these dental units. I really want people to donate to this cause, so hopefully this will explain why. Also, thank you SO much to all who have donated already!!
We really need these dental units! It is so frustrating and disheartening when there is no choice but to extract permanent teeth. It's either pull them, or the patient suffers terrible pain and infection. If we had the means to provide restorative dentistry, we would truly be serving these people in a manner they deserve. A lot of people say, "Oh well, they're poor, they live in the jungle and never see the outside world, so what difference does it make? Just pull the teeth out, right??" It makes a lot of difference because they are human beings and their lives are every bit as valuable as anyone else's. The Lord gave His life for them, therefore they deserve the best treatment we can give. There's a saying in the dental biz, "the more teeth you lose, the more teeth you lose" And it's true, losing teeth causes bone loss and gums to shrink, which causes more teeth to be at risk for decay and extraction. Not to mention, healthy digestion relies greatly on foods being chewed completely before swallowed. When we chew our food, saliva is released and aides in the breakdown of foods in order that our bodies can properly digest what we eat. So dentists really like to save teeth if at all possible. These units would allow them to do that because they are self contained, no plumbing needed! It also allows hygienists to clean teeth much quicker allowing many more patients to be seen during the day.
So anyway, that's probably way more than you ever wanted to know about teeth!! Lol!!"
