<div>Hello, my name is Tara Scott-Johnson, a resident of the lovely <strong>Rice Hope</strong> community in Port Wentworth, GA. In July of 2022, developers removed several acres of mature pine trees that acted as a highway barrier to protect our homes from the sights and sounds of Interstate 95. In just a few hours, our neighborhood went from a beautiful, quiet lakefront retreat to living adjacent to a busy interstate with a parade of semi-trucks day and night.

<div>We were blessed to find an amazing local law firm specializing in preservation and real estate law. The law firm has had numerous victories in the Historic District of Savannah.

<div>While we {28 homeowners} have retained the law firm of <strong>Thomerson, Edwards &amp; Jones</strong> with our own money, litigation is time-consuming and expensive. We will need donations to cover these expenses to see this case to trial. Please consider donating to our legal fund.

<div>The builder/developer has managed to squeeze small cottage homes just feet from Interstate 95 with an inadequate berm and fence combination, creating what is known as a "shadow zone". This shadow zone has amplified the noise infiltrating the established neighborhood of Rice Hope at a level considered unsafe by the EPA.
