Pooler Fights Poverty

Hey everyone, thank you for making it to my page one way or another! My name is Corey Pooler and I am a Westfield State Honor’s student studying Secondary Education. I am running the 2018 Boston Marathon and have decided to create my own solo charity team. I will be going on two trips before the race to Nicaragua and Guatemala to give back to children living in poverty stricken areas. I want to make it clear that all of the money raised will go directly to the children/families/communities, and none will be used for the payment of my trips. I will be funding my own trips, and am raising money specifically for construction of a elementary school classrooms, new homes, water filtration systems, and basic hygiene supplies unless otherwise requested. I am the only one running for this cause and can only do so much on my own, and am asking for the help of others. Anything is helpful, and I will accept any donations big or small. If you would like to make a request as to where exactly your money goes, I will do that. I can make sure your money goes to the building of a new home for a family living in poverty, or to a water filtration system that will provide a family with clean water for 8-10 years. I will personally be going to these places and overseeing where the funds go so anything is possible! I will continue to raise funds for as long as people are willing to give them.
I go to Nicaragua from January 3rd- January 17th and I go to Guatemala from March 11th-17th. Please follow my story as it will be documented by my older brother!! Thank you for everything, I appreciate any support!
