Donation protected

We would be really grateful if you would
support our pony trek in memory of Mollie and in raising Mental Health Awareness .

Mollies mum’s story is heartbreaking and any parents worst nightmare.

Very sadly many people especially around
this current situation are struggling with
their mental health.

We not only want to raise awareness but
also make sure the charity is able to
support those left behind.

This amazing charity really does make a
difference so please, please help us to
support them in Mollies Memory.

Please like and share our page, donate if
possible and let Buttercup and Daisy help
people in a different way ❤️❤️❤️

Grieving the loss of a child is a process.
It begins on the day your child dies.
And ends the day we join them.

This is the story of

Mollie Rose Stansfield 06/01/1997-
10/07/2019

If sharing this story can help just one
family I feel we will have achieved
something.

On 6th January 1997, our world changed forever, as on a cold, snowy morning our daughter made her appearance into this world so swiftly and quickly on the
bathroom floor, and from that point
there was quite simply no stopping her.
She came into this world as the most
beautiful baby with jet-black hair and a
rosy complexion with big red lips, hence
her middle name been Rose.

Mollie was such a loveable character,
always so polite and respectful and
everyone loved and liked her, she had a
colourful lively character and was always
the life and soul of the party, she was
fiercely loyal and protective of those she
loved too.

Mollie from a young age suffered with
her mental health which got worse into
adulthood, she self-harmed and heard
voices telling her to hurt herself and
others, she often used to say she didn’t
want to be here anymore and made
numerous suicide threats and attempts
what I believed to be a cry for help and
the more she said the more rational
suicide to it became for us and we never
really believed she would do it. Mols was
in and out of the services for a long time
but I feel never got the help that she
really needed.

10th July 2019 was the day that our lives
as we knew it changed forever, our
beautiful, funny, loyal and caring
daughter Mollie decided to end her pain
and suffering, this was the day I learned
that my 22-year-old daughter had taken
her own life.
1 year later the news that brought me to
my knees rings in my memory as if it was
yesterday.

Mols was beautiful, popular, talented and
so loved by her many friends and family
members but she never believed it.
She felt alone in her daily struggles and
despite all our efforts to get help, she
slipped through our grasp, My husband
and I had too try and come to terms with
the most brutal outcome as a parent...
we could not save her.

You always think these things won’t
come knocking on your door “it happens to other people.”
And then one day your world is
shattered into a million pieces.
Astonishingly despite 50% of mental
health problems starting before the age of 14 and 75% by the age of 24
Mental health is not talked about in
schools it is not a standard part of the
curriculum.
Suicide is the second biggest killer of 15-29 year olds.
We need to start talking and teaching
about mental health and Ill health at
school as part of the curriculum for
suicide prevention.
We all should be actively supporting
devastated families bereaved by suicide.

A year has passed since we lost our Mols
and I still wake every day wondering how
this could have been possible, could
things be different, the what ifs and if
only live side by side with me daily and
then there’s the guilt!! Ooh, the guilt is
my constant companion.

And I know things maybe could have
been so different.

SUICIDE IS PREVENTABLE Look after
those around you
Listen to them more,
Be there?
Don’t be scared to question the signs you
see,
Ask the difficult questions,
You might just make a difference by
doing so.

Suicide is on the increase, and something
needs to be done, we all need more help,
and the services need to up there game.
More importantly every suicide threat or attempt should be taken as if it’s the first
time you’ve heard it from that person,
and it should always be believed and get
help ASAP bang on every door you need
too, to prevent other families lives been
ruined and broken forever like ours.
Mols was a young lady who had a huge
impact on so many people,I can only
describe it like a stone thrown into a pool
of water, the ripples of despair have
swept out in all directions affecting many many people and I’m sure if mollie could
have seen this we wouldn’t have been
where we are today .
