POMOZIMO OTKUP ZEMLJE NA KOJOJ JE ROĐEN SV. SAVA

Poštovana pravoslavna braćo i sestre širom Amerike i Kanade...
Hvala i blagosloveni bili!

Dear Orthodox brothers and sisters throughout America and Canada,
The greatest Serbian saint, Saint Sava, was born, according to tradition, in the year 1169 as Rastko Nemanjić, in the village of Deževa, not far from Novi Pazar. It is precisely in that place that the Eparchy of Raška-Prizren of the Serbian Orthodox Church has decided to build a memorial church and complex in honor of Saint Sava. The construction work has already progressed, and a priest has been appointed to perform the service.
The church is built on the foundations of the sanctuary where in 1282 King Dragutin handed over the throne to his brother Milutin, and just three hundred meters away is the place where Saint Sava was born. Currently, we are working on a project to develop the complex, which is intended to become a place of pilgrimage for believers from Serbia, Montenegro, and the entire region, says Archimandrite Andrej.
To continue and complete the construction work, it is ESSENTIAL to acquire the nearby private house with land located in the area designated for the construction of the complex.
We, therefore, invite and implore you to contribute with your donations and offerings to enable the completion of this project with your help and God's blessing.
Thank you, and may you be blessed!
With blessings,
Bishop of Raška-Prizren, Teodosije
Bishop of New Gračanica-Midwestern America, Longin
Archimandrite Andrej, Abbot of the Crna Reka Monastery
