These are my parents, Ervin and Dolores Polnick
They were recently displaced from their home, in Lumberton, TX, of 40+ years due to the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey.
From August 28th through September 3rd, their home was covered under 36"+ of flood waters.
Most of us will be lucky enough to never experience such a traumatic event.
A total loss.
Not only do they have to endure the complete loss of all of their posessions, they are being forced to document, photograph, and re-live the loss of all of their memories of 40+ years in this home.
Remenisce, photograph, and then trash.
Then ultimately place their entire lives on the street to be removed and dumped into landfills...
Not to mention the loss of their 2 vehicles in the flooding as well..
Please give what you can to the larger organizations which do provided help and services during disasters.
If giving is in your heart though, find a way to give directly to those who are affected.
Giving directly will have the most IMPACT!
The funds provided here will be directly given to Ervin and Dolores for the following immediate needs, helping to bridge the gaps left after finally receiving insurance/aid months to even years from today, to help begin the slow process of re-building their life together:
6-12 Months of Temporary Housing (While rebuilding their home)
A Vehicle
Clothing
Shoes
Food
Cleaning Supplies
All other expenses created due to the damages and loss..
