Polk County Dogfighting Bust Help

In July of this year, Polk County, GA officials found the worst case of animal cruelty they had ever seen.  They seized 107 dogs from a dog fighting bust.  We decided to step in and help because we felt that after what the dogs had been through they did not deserve to die in a shelter.  We went to Polk County and visited 3 shelters.  We evaluated dogs to be sure they were safe to inteeract with and we chose 20 dogs to take with us back to Florida.  They are all with us now and several have significant medical issues.  So far 4 have been diagnosed with babesia gibsoni (a disease common in dog fighting dogs), one has broken bones, several are heartworm positive and most have worms and need to be spayed and neutered.  We need your help.  Funds are desperately needed to offset vetting costs for the care of these dogs.  We took a huge change and brought back these 20 dogs with us.  Will you help us help them?
