Police Officer Joel Sibley Medical Fund

Donation protected
We are setting up this Go Fund Me for our son, former El Dorado and current Rose Hill Police Officer Joel Sibley, and his family to help with all medical expenses, and all bills that he and his family will have.

Joel had a migraine that not only didn't go away, but worsened. On October 5th, 2019, Joel went to the ER at Susan B Allen Hospital in El Dorado, KS and was transferred by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita KS.

Joel was diagnosed with a large blood clot on his brain, which bled causing Joel to have a stroke.  Joel was in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit for 18 days.  He is on several medications, and had 3 procedures to try and alleviate the pressure on his brain, and to open up blood flow to his brain.

Joel is a hard working family man, and sole provider for his young family.  They are the proud parents of their son, who turned 2 while Joel was in the hospital.

Joel had a long hospital stay, many brain scans, procedures, and medicines.  He has been released from the hospital, and is starting his long road to recovery at home.  Joel's doctor is not sure when Joel will be able to return to work, he could be off work a year or more.  Joel will need to have several more brain scans to make sure that the clot is dissolving, and not growing again.  Because of the stroke, he will need to go to Wichita at least 2 to 3 times a week for speech therapy.

We started this fund so that Joel can just focus on his recovery, and not be worrying and stressing over how to provide for his family, and pay all of the medical bills and normal month to month bills that a family has, while he is unable to work.

We are very thankful and blessed that Joel is at home, but Joel is facing a long road to recovery. Joel loves to be and is so proud to be a Police Officer, and he loves the community that he serves. It is hard for Joel to not be able to go to work and do what he loves.

We have set up a savings account at  Emprise Bank, 200 N Main, El Dorado KS 67042.  Any and all donations are very much appreciated, and will help this young family so much.

We would also like to ask for prayers for Joel's recovery.   Thank you!
