Points For Choice

Roe v. Wade was overturned on June 24, 2022. Since, we’ve felt the impact: abortion has been banned in 13 states, with more on the way.

First, let’s recognize this for what it is: a reproachable revocation of reproductive rights. Second, we need to acknowledge how it makes us feel: outraged, resentful, afraid, disrespected, scared. And, most of all, helpless.

But just because we feel helpless doesn’t mean we are. Not completely.

So, we’ve been asking ourselves: how can we do our part? How can we turn those bad feelings into something good? Something useful?

Like many small businesses, Opinionated uses a corporate credit card to manage much of its day-to-day operations. We put most of our business expenses on this card—everything from food to flights. A corporate credit card works like any credit card: at the end of the year, we get redeemable points (cash) from using the card for our expenses. Basically, we get free money. Opinionated has decided to give our “free money” to Planned Parenthood, an organization we trust to distribute our resources effectively to support the protection of reproductive rights. This year our #PointsForChoice allows us to contribute $7,000 to this effort.
