Support the Bosnian Foodbank in Zenica

We are asking for your help! Currently, there are over 410,000 retirees in Bosnia, that are receiving minimum pension payments of only $192/month. For most, this is barely enough to cover their basic bills. Many of them, without any family to help, are struggling to buy food and to survive. In addition, there is a large population of people with disabilities that are facing the same struggles. With your help, we are looking to change that!
Geopa Zenica, is a project for a proposed Bosnian Food Bank/Grocery Store in the city of Zenica to help remedy this issue. Thanks to the support of various government grants, private sponsors and partners, qualified pensioners and people with disabilities would be able to buy groceries at a heavily discounted rate (up to 30% off of retail prices) at this store. Geopa Zenica would be the pilot project, with many others to follow. Currently, we are seeking donations to cover basic start up costs for the most necessary equipment to open and operate such a store. Equipment such as storage refrigerators for perishable food, storage, POS equipment (cash registers), scales to weigh food and basic office equipment. We hope to raise enough money to make this project a reality and a catalyst for many more across the country to ease the burden of the aging and disabled populations. Every dollar helps.
