Pocky's Surgery

Donation protected
A month ago, we inherited two little dogs from Sam's mother, who was unable to take care of them any longer.
Taco, an 11-year-old chihuahua mix, was happy and healthy. Unfortunately, Pocky, our little 10-year-old Bichon, seemed to have difficulty adjusting.
We began noticing changes in her eating habits and- most noticeably- blood in her urine. A visit to the vet and a few x-rays later, we discovered a stone in her bladder the size of a large egg.
While bladder stones are relatively common in female Bichons, it seems Pocky's had gone unchecked for a number of months. The doctor informed me that the only means of giving her relief was through a surgical removal of the stone. The cost of the procedure totals to over $1800.

We understand that vet bills are a fact of pet-ownership, but in this instance, it feels as if we're in over our heads. At this point, we implore of our friends, family, and kind strangers: if there is any amount that you are able to help in easing the burden of Pocky's surgery, we would be so grateful.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love you all.
