One of the hallmarks of the Liberian Civil War which broke out on December 28, 1989, has been the proliferation of armed factions, all of which targeted civilians and were responsible for massacres and systematic human rights abuses, and none of which was fighting for any recognizable cause or ideology.
The issues of Gross human rights violations, and massive corruption committed in Liberia willfully, by some Liberian citizens which have led to the untold sufferings of the Liberian people especially women and children. These issues include the followings:
1. Rape of women, and underage girls in Liberia.
2. Recruitment and forceful use of children in combat activities by some Liberians in Liberia during the Liberian war, which led to the increased number of disadvantaged Liberians now referred to as "ZOGOS" with no rehab programs provided, making Liberia unsafe for most peaceful citizens.
3. Massive corruption of Liberia's resources, leading to untold economic hardship and sufferings of the people of Liberia.
4. Liberian citizens living under threats and fear, making decisions under the fear that they will suffer another war again if they make the right decisions.
5.(a) Gross mismanagement of Healthcare and educational resources in Liberia.
5. (b) Help us implement the TRC recommendations. Make Liberia Sweet again.
We Need The International Community To Help Us Establish An Economic And War-Crimes Court In Liberia. To Prosecute The Liberians Who Brought Hardship On Other Liberians Due To Greed And When Found Guilty, Let Justice Prevail.
