Wags & Walks Dogs Suffer Devastating Pneumonia

Tax deductible
Five dogs rescued from different animal shelters - they had nothing in common except they came to Wags & Walks at roughly the same time and they all had kennel cough, we expect kennel cough for most of the dogs that are saved from the shelter.  Some antibiotics and rest and they are fine.   But for these five dogs the kennel cough quickly turned into a very nasty severe pneumonia .

It was a fight for life for Dean, Macaroni, Emilio, Wagner and Lenny (aka Pudge.)  Despite our best efforts we suffered devastating loss with Lenny and Wagner. Dean nearly didn't make it either and after weeks of intensive care and astronomical vet bills he is finally turning a corner and we are confident he is winning this battle.

Is there a pricetag  on the life of a dog that has no home?  When do we say enough is enough?  When a dog is suffering, giving up and doesn't have a chance of meaningful survival - otherwise we fight alongside them.  We fought with Lenny and Wagner until there was no more fight.

But that "pricetag" - we're left with an incredible bill to pay.

Please donate in memory of Lenny and Wagner, in honor of Dean's ongoing fight for life and for Mac & Emilio's bravery and ability to recover.  Thank you.
