Revive a Rural African Child

Ten years ago, the Visionary Learning Center was a dream in the heart of a young man, Eddy Kaliisa, who saw the great need in the rural parts of his country, Uganda. He would travel many hours each weekend to teach a handful of children under a tree and bring the first supplies of care and education to their lives. 
Since then, Eddy's Facebook  "Worldfriends" have participated in this educational assistance by providing school supply packages, penpal letters, and donations to a growing number of children - now over 300! Some of these children travel great distances for this chance to be educated.  It is thrilling to see the photos and videos that Eddy posts of children who now begin to have the possibility of a better life. 
We hope to raise awareness for Eddy's incredible work, which has now been expanded to include the building and maintenance of school rooms, libraries, a water pump, toilet facilities, and now even housing and food for orphans.
