Nubs, the tripod kittens’, Jaw Surgery
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Percy and I’ve been working in rescue for a good chunk of
time. My friend Maddie has been going even longer and her continued dedication blows me away. Nubs is a foster kitten that Maddie has had ever since he was born. All the kittens came out okay except for nubs who was born without his front right paw. He literally never even noticed he was different and still doesn’t. Once he was big enough for anesthetic he has the leg surgically removed as to not cause any skeletal damage from his stunted leg. That still didn’t stop him even a little bit, and as soon as my man got really good at balancing on three legs he started getting crazy again and has BROKEN HIS OWN JAW. Maddie paid for his leg surgery on her own which was difficult and she intends to pay for the entire jaw surgery herself with loans or hope and dreams. He has to go to a specialized vet to get this jaw surgery because it’s not a very common procedure and it could come out to $6000-8000. Maddie lives off of a shelter salary which is not very sustainable for these huge surgeries and she still works her butt off to save these animals daily. Any amount helps IMMENSELY, thank you so so much for reading about Maddie and Nubs.
