PoMahina Designs is a small organization founded on and operating from the tiny island of Molokai, in the state of Hawaii. Molokai is the 3rd smallest of the inhabited Hawaiian Islands and is known as “The Friendly Isle”. Molokai is at the “Piko” (center) of the Hawaiian Island chain and is also the Piko of Native Hawaiian activism. Our deep love for the land and our culture here on Molokai fosters a profound sense of responsibility to do and live “Pono” (righteous). PoMahina Designs is inspired by this way of life and strives to spread the message to malama ‘aina and malama pono where ever we can.
We are delighted that PoMahina Designs has been selected to be included at this year’s Pacific Fusion Fashion Show (PFFS) in Auckland, New Zealand. It is overwhelming that this large elite fashion show not only found us on our tiny island a world away, but also invited us and avidly wants us to be a part of their 2017 show.
We have gladly accepted this opportunity to participate and see it as a chance to expand and elevate beyond our Molokai shores. This will allow for growth in not only PoMahina Designs, but for Hawai’i and its various partners and sponsors. We foresee this occasion will bring recognition to Molokai and all of Hawai'i, not only for its wearable arts and culture, but also for visitors & businesses alike.
To ensure the successful participation in PFFS -2017, we are seeking partnerships, financial support and key stakeholder’s involvement to support our team in participation of this important and creative event.
