We are Babadin Eeyou School’s Secondary 5 class for the 2019-2020 school year. We are currently raising funds for our orientation trip next month to visit potential post-secondary schools in Montreal, Gatineau, Ottawa, and North Bay, in order to explore the options available to us after graduation.
Our school is located in Whapmagoostui, Quebec, a First Nation community at the mouth of the Hudson Bay and Great Whale River. Whapmagoostui is accessible only by air travel, so this trip will serve as an opportunity for us to visit southern cities and their post-secondary schools. This will be an amazing opportunity as the majority of us have not been to a college campus before.
All funds donated will go directly toward paying food costs for the 5-day trip. We have funded some of the cost through bake sales and other school events, but we still need to raise additional funds.
