<div>Hi, my name is Cindy, I am Kev’s cousin and

<div>have set up this fundraiser on behalf of the Stocks family to help support Kev and his beautiful family in an extremely difficult time in their lives.
</div>

<div>Anyone who knows Kev, knows just how great of a man he is and how he has always been there for everyone and anyone. Kevin is a pillar of the Stocks family, he is also a wonderful father to Nick and Alyssa, and grandfather.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Kev’s story starts out with what was thought to be a toothache and a trip to the dentist, quickly escalating to CT and MRI head scans followed by many doctor’s appointments.
</div>
<div>Within weeks his life was changed forever.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On October 3rd Kev was told he had a tumour on the left side of his face and spots on his lungs. On the 17th of October, doctors would confirm the dreaded C word... CANCER. Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC), a rare form of aggressive cancer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>By the time Kev had found out that he had stage 4 cancer, it had already spread to his lungs, was eating through the bone structure of his jaw, nose, eye socket and cheek bone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On the 20th of November, Kev had to undergo a 12-hour long surgery, with more to come.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The surgery consisted of a breathing tube inserted in his throat (Tracheostomy), his face was sliced down the center, peeling back the skin and cutting straight down from the eye to the middle of the back of his throat. He had to have the nose bones and across the bottom part of his eye socket and cheek bone to his ear cut and removed. They have cut out a portion of his shoulder blade to rebuild the jaw, cheek and eye socket, cut muscle from his shoulder and rib cage to rebuild the inside of his mouth, like a jigsaw puzzle.

<div>Kev no longer has feeling in the left side of his tongue or face due to the nerve being removed. He will have to learn to talk, eat and swallow again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He will start receiving 6 straight weeks of radiation for the cancer that they may or may not have missed on his face.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We appreciate you reading Kev’s story about his battle with ACC, we would greatly appreciate any contribution to Kev and his family during this hard time.
