Hi, I'm Asri, a 17-year-old music producer/DJ who resides in Austin, TX. Throughout the year, I had to juggle the time-consuming art of music production with being in junior year of high school. When I started producing music at 14 years old, I thought that opportunities to play shows would be waiting for me as I got into the music industry; but I was wrong. As I started getting more integrated into the EDM industry in Austin, I quickly discovered the lack of opportunities presented to us merely due to our age. Having gone through the constant struggle of not being taken seriously as a minor, I decided that I wouldn’t want this same treatment to be given to the next generation of artists.

Me and a couple of other artists are raising funds to host an event on July 27th. This event will feature a lineup of DJs under the age of 18 to showcase the new generation of talent in Austin! Please help us provide equal opportunities to people of all ages!
