Plumsted Township PBA Local 390 No Shave November

It’s that time of year again! The Plumsted Township Police Department and Plumsted PBA Local #390 are participating in, “No Shave November,” fundraising for a cause. This year we will be donating proceeds to Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, Detective Phil Sickinger and his family. In January of this year, Phil was diagnosed with ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. ALS is a progressive nervous system disease that effects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control. Though treatable, there is no cure for ALS and the prognosis is often grim. This year’s donations are to help ease financial burdens Phil and his family are experiencing, in hopes it will offset this heartbreaking turn of events.
