Plein Tornado Fund

On Wednesday, June 28, 2017 and EF2 tornado hit the homestead of Rachel & Justin Plein in Prairieburg, Iowa. Rachel was home at the time with their two small children, and were spared from any harm as they huddled in the basement.  The sheriff had stopped Justin as he tried to race home to his family.  Once the storm had passed....the devestation started to set in.  The four acres that used to hold their outbuildings, garage and a pasture for their horses....were all destroyed.  The house is damaged inside and out.  Their lot is now empty from all the trees that had once framed their dream home so perfectly.  In addition to the damage to their property, they also lost a beloved horse to the injuries sustained in the storm.  They are currently unable to live in the home, and will be faced with staying in a hotel for the forseeable future as the livability of their home is addressed. It is not known how long it will be until they are able to return to work.  All money raised from this campaign will go to Rachel and Justin to help with expenses that insurance will not cover, including replacing fencing so they can bring their remaining horses home.  They have just now started the overwhelming process of trying to figure out everything they have lost.  Thank you so much to everyone that has already reached out to the family.  Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
