In Memory of Vanessa, Honor & Support the Lovatos

Dear Family and Friends,
I am writing to you today to let our community know Vanessa Andrea Lovato, our beloved beautiful daughter, sister, family and friend passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 7th. Vanessa was 12 years old, she was always so vibrant and full of energy when suddenly she felt ill at school on Monday. She was picked up from school and taken to the hospital later that morning which spiraled into an emergency and desperate situation. She was transferred to the Children's Hospital suffering cardiac arrest. As an avid athlete and a strong spirit - she fought hard to overcome this - the physical and emotional strength Vanessa portrayed during this time was strong for such a child. Within a 24 hour period, God called her home Tuesday afternoon. Her family is suffering and still in shock with this unimaginable loss.
Of course, we are all absolutely devastated by Vanessa's passing, and The Lovato family needs our community's help as the costs are increased and spiraling upward quickly. In addition to the excessive expenses for the funeral and burial the Lovato family will need to secure a family plot, to ensure they will also be with Vanessa, and she will not be alone in her final burial resting place.
The Lovato family will need to pay all funeral and burial costs in the next week or two and as they are starting to recognize these expenses is a huge added burden they are facing. For this reason, we have set a goal of $50,000. This will be used for all the costs occuring during this process and the left-over funds will be used for a Vanessa Lovato Scholarship Fund.
Vanessa's obituary will be added here once all the plans are finalized. The Rosary, Mass and Funeral Service will also be posted here as this is firmed up. These details will take time due to the sudden nature of the events, and formal process that needs to transpire to investigate and understand what happened.
Vanessa was loved by her family, friends, classmates, soccer teams, fellow dancers and so many in the community. The attached video was made by her classmates, her friends, and they wanted to share Vanessa's spirit through their eyes for all of you to know who she was in her lifetime, cut so short.
