Please Support Stephen's "Patriotic Progressive" Radio Show

Hello My Friends and Colleagues,

I realize that many of you are bombarded these days, not only with various GoFundMe pitches, but with requests for donations from political candidates. So I really hesitated to pitch you this way, but I wanted to give it a shot. As some of you know, especially my friends in the Sedona area, I've been hosting a lifestyle radio show on Saturday mornings on the local AM and FM station KAZM/Mellow Mountain Radio. Well, with the approval of the station's owner, I've decided to launch another weekly one-hour Saturday morning show strictly about politics called THE PATRIOTIC PROGRESSIVE . . . For Truth, Justice and the Democratic Way.

Now doing a hosted radio show with a relatively small station these days is like booking a cabaret show, producing a CD, or self-publishing. It’s pay to play and I know it will be much tougher to find sponsors to offset the production costs related to broadcasting the show each week as many businesses are skittish about being open about their politics or seeming like they are publicly taking sides (which could alienate potential customers). So I'm hoping those of you who are as worried about the existential threat our country faces from extreme right wing forces will support my effort to inform and educate listeners, and arouse them to action. And, hopefully, I'll be entertaining while doing that.

In a nutshell, I want to take this radio broadcast journey because . . . I’ve Had Enough . . . In no particular order . . .

I’ve Had Enough of the millions of people in this country I love accepting and even normalizing one of the vilest individuals in our nation’s history—the Orange Cretin.

I’ve Had Enough of the Right Wing Media brainwashing millions of our citizens so they have no understanding which political party is really working for their interests.

I’ve Had Enough of the Mainstream American Media ignoring the existential threats to our democracy in their relentless quest for profit.

I’ve Had Enough of the demonization of Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, Women, Racial Minorities, Immigrants, Gays, and Trans People.

I’ve Had Enough of the Unholy Trinity of White Supremacists, Christian Nationalists, and Right Wing American Oligarchs attempting to destroy our democracy in their insatiable quest for power.

I’ve Had Enough of the Corrupt and Incompetent Right Wing Members of the Supreme Court beholden to and doing the bidding of the Unholy Trinity.

I’ve Had Enough of the Extremist Right Wing Politicians who are intent on taking away the Right to Vote from millions of Americans.

I’ve Had Enough of the Guns, the Greed, and the Gaslighting.

So it’s because I’ve Had Enough of all the people involved in trying to tear down the greatest country in the world, that I’ve decided in my own little way to do and say something about it.

Beginning July 20, on Saturdays mornings from 8-9 am Arizona time, I will be launching THE PATRIOTIC PROGRESSIVE on KAZM/Mellow Mountain Radio (106.5 FM & 780 AM based in Sedona. The show will feature my political commentaries as well as special guests from Sedona, the broader area of Arizona, and those with national followings, such as political and media figures, business and educational leaders, etc. Like my current show “Sedona Life with Stephen Hanks” (which will continue on Saturdays from 10-11 am), each episode will be podcast on Apple, YouTube, and Spotify.
