<div>Having found a research project here in the park, now its up to me to find funding. This is the chance of a lifetime, to do what one peer reviewer described as “foundational” work, and another, “critical”. Your help so far has resulted in the first six seasons of field work, completed the initial study, confirmed the hypothesis, write and present the first paper for publication and begin an addendum. Now, another season is upon us and there's more work to be done, I can’t do it without you. Please donate today..

<div>The park is a giant laboratory, the last most intact temperate ecosystem in the lower 48. To a scientist this is what the park is all about. To me it’s a dream come true. I can’t believe I discovered this, and I can’t believe I might lose it because I don't have the funding. A chance to do real science and make meaningful discoveries. How many people can say they had that chance and how can I just let it go without exhausting all possibilities.

<div>The moose in our study area get a form of papilloma virus and develop fist sized tumors, they then shed the tumors with no scarring and no adverse effects on their reproductive capabilities. We want to know how they do that and if it can be applied to human physiology.

<div>Your donations will be used to further this research project and go towards all the various expenses of being here and writing and conducting extended field research. We recently raised our goal to $75,000 due to the increasing costs of lodging here in the park. We're looking for an older van or truck we can modify as a camper so we can more easily conduct our field work. Thank you thank you thank you for helping out. The research is worth it.

<div>Two things we're very much in need of right now are a vehicle and operating expenses for the 2025 summer fieldwork season. If you'd like to donate a vehicle we're looking for an older chevy or ford van, something easily fixed ;-) You'll need an appraisal to get the tax deduction on donated vehicles. Contact us if you'd like to donate a van. Operating expenses are critical at this time to get back to the park.
