Please support Mangos Fight against FIP

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my story.

To give a little background about my furry family, I have several special needs animals  in my family. Most of the furry family are rescues.

If you'd like to skip right to why we are here today, please feel free to scroll down past the introductions.

My Husky(Kodah), now at 16 years old, was surrendered to me 5 years ago by a previous owner that could no longer care for her and she is going blind, she is deaf, and she is a diabetic.47815782_1588456784891787_r.jpeg

My Boston Terrier (Bruster), his age is unknown but we estimate around 12+ years old, has Congestive Heart Failure along with liver function problems and is going blind.

Then there is our massive gang of cats that we accidentally accumulated.

Persia is my original that I rescued in 2011 at 1 year old.(She is 10 this August) She tolerates all of the others, and has been in good health most of her life.47815782_1588457313723805_r.jpeg
Next in line there is Bob, a neighborhood cat that we spent years trying to convince to become part of the indoor family. Bob finally came inside when she suffered a bite from another animal and we took her in for care and nursed her back to health. Bob is roughly 9 years old we think.47815782_1588457437664969_r.jpeg
Toebee was rescued from a feral cats litter that I was helping to find homes for. (She is actually from the first litter of Mango's mothers, Mango is from mommas second litter.) Toebee suffered a head injury at about 5 months old and has not been the same since. She is a loving but sometimes a bipolar little thing. We love her regardless.47815782_1588472070677820_r.jpeg
Bikkit was rescued from a potentially hostile situation as a stray and we took him in as our own. We do not know his age.47815782_1588472421125020_r.jpeg
Last but not least, we have three other boys. Litter mates. Hungry, Garfield, and the runt of the litter, Mango. 47815782_1588472505400893_r.jpeg47815782_1588472530763684_r.jpeg
This huge crew of cats we have were a bunch of foster failures, excluding Mango. He was the one that I planned on keeping from the time they were little babies. Hungry and Garfield's home fell through and we couldn't stand the thought of parting with them after having spent so much time with them. I realize none of this pertains to my true reason for this page, but knowing a bit of my crew and my desire to help those furry ones in need. Our home being full and with so many that are special needs that of course come with vet bills, perhaps this has kept you reading our story.

Now for the part that has my heart breaking...Meet Mango.

Mango is the reason I have created this GoFundMe. Mango being the runt, his Immune system has always been less than perfect. At around 8 months old, he started having trouble with his Lymph Nodes swelling. He can go for 1-3 months without an episode, but when they strike it is sudden and sometimes gets him feeling so terrible that all I can do is worry and rush him to the vet praying for answers. February 2019 he spent 3 nights with our vet because his fever had spiked so high, he was dehydrated, and we had no clue what was wrong with my baby.

The battle with his lymph nodes took us from blood work, to Fine Needle Aspiration, to finally a Biopsy done last week. About one year after this battle started, we now have ruled out cancer/Lymphoma;However, the diagnosis we got was not much better.

Mango was diagnosed with Dry FIP on 05-01-20.
FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) has two forms, Wet and Dry. The glimmer of hope is that Mango has Dry FIP.  In the past, FIP was a death sentence....through an amazing group I was directed to on facebook, FIP Warriors, I have discovered that there is a treatment for FIP. With treatment there is cost....The cost for this medication is very high.

I do not want to give up hope on my beautiful baby boy. If anyone can find it in their heart to help us in this desperate time, every penny is very appreciated. Going to GoFundMe is not exactly how I wanted to handle this situation, as I have always been able to provide for my special needs crew on my own until now.

A 12 week treatment of GS441 comes in many different brands, this is the estimate I have come up with from www.fiptreatment.com. The sooner that treatment begins, the better. 47815782_1588474321951435_r.jpeg

Even if you can only spare one dollar, please help me save my baby. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you even more if you are able and willing to donate to Mango's Fight against FIP.
