<div>Our dear Kathryn has been diagnosed with cancer— aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma (diffuse large B-cell). This is an enormous shock to her and everyone around her. Her providers are assuring her that she will be cured, but she has to start chemotherapy immediately. The treatment is expected to last for four months and is highly likely to have a range of challenging side effects— physically, mentally, and emotionally. She is currently getting a number of tests/biopsies to determine the exact mode of treatment moving forward. This is taking an enormous toll on her, and she needs your support.

<div>As you may know, Kathryn recently completed her Master’s degree and is now a licensed therapist. She just turned 30 years old and was about to begin a new full time job, and then received this diagnosis. She is now in limbo regarding whether to start the job, given that she is facing several months of intense treatments. As such, she is also in limbo regarding which health insurance she will be using, which of course raises concerns about coverage and how the treatment will be financed.

<div>She needs time and space to slow down and heal, and she needs to know that we have her back to support her fully. Unfortunately, we need money to survive in this society, and a cushion of funds would help put her at ease so she can get through this knowing money won’t be an issue.
