Hi everyone, my name is Precious Graham and I am the founder of Culture Community.

It is a Saturday school run by 10 volunteers to teach Black History in a fun way. In our sessions we include activities, games and the youth win lots of prizes.

This school started because it was evident that the youth in Peterborough didn't have alot to do and this was a way to bring them together and form new relationships in a positive, safe environment.

Black History is also not part of the school curriculum so we wanted to incorporate lessons into the sessions for the youth to learn about.

We are all volunteers that love what we do that's why we do it and the youth enjoy the sessions and have formed relationships with others that live around Peterborough. We want the next generation to gain the knowledge about Black History that we wasn't taught and make new friends at the same time.

The money raised will go towards educational resources for the sessions for example a projector, funds to fix laptops that need up to date software, games and trips to museums.
