<div>My name is Katie Charles and I’m trying to raise funds to support my twin brother Adam and his partner Lydia during the most difficult and heartbreaking period of their life.

<div>Their 10 week old daughter Freya has been diagnosed with a very rare and extremely aggressive form of central nervous system based cancer which starts in the brain. There is only a 1% chance of developing this type of cancer and sadly Freya has been fighting Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid grade four in Birmingham Children's Hospital and our family have been informed she will be in hospital for many months at a minimum.

<div>The family are awaiting further news to understand if and how much the cancer has metastasized. There is a treatment currently being trialed oversea’s and the hospital will seek permission to perform that in the UK, whilst remain hopeful this is possible for Freya if she needs it, until then she is undergoing the invasive process of chemotherapy and brain fluid draining in order to manage hydrocephalus.

<div>I am looking to raise funds to support her parents with the added pressures of financial worries regarding their home, loss of wages and their first daughter Maisie, who has additional needs herself.
</div>

<div>I want to do anything and everything I can to ease the pressure on her parents mental health particularly. On top of this devastating and world shattering news, they shouldn’t have to worry about how they’re going to be able to financially afford to pay the mortgage and bills without being able to work or return to their full time jobs.
</div>

</div>
<div>Freya requires both her parents focus during her battle with cancer and has already been through so much with recent surgeries, and starting chemotherapy.
</div>
<div>If I can ease the outside worries a little and allow them the peace to be beside her whilst she fights, I’ll do anything to try and give them that.
</div>

<div>Any donations made through this go fund me campaign will be used for transport purposes to and from the hospital, the requirements for additional care needed for Freya if and when she can return home, the housing costs whilst the parents are unable to work and to support the additional needs of their first child Maisie during this time.
